1st Day, 7th March 2020 - Basketball Court, Kolej Rahman Putra
Mudball Preparation
Summary of 1st day
The first day recorded a participation of 115 geoinformatics students from the Faculty of Built Environment And Surveying, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The main purpose is to produce mud balls with the help of a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), The Green Earth Society. An aerobic exercise was held on 8.00 am and breakfast was prepared to all participants. During the briefing by the green earth society, the students were explained the function of mud balls for rivers. It is told that By placing the mud balls in the water, the mix of clay and organic materials will stabilize the water pH level, reduce foul smells and break down the organic molecules, waste and so on. We managed to create and produce a total of 5000 mud balls at the end of the day.

2nd Day, 12th March 2020 - D'Chalet Punggai, Desaru
Beach Cleaning, Mudball throwing, Activities.
Summary of 2nd day
The second day was participated by a total of 123 geoinformatics students. The venue on 12th March was held at D' Chalet Punggai, Desaru which was 2 hour drive from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor. All the participants arrived on 9.00 am at the venue and started the day with beach cleaning at the village. The villagers were friendly where they also volunteered on the beach cleaning. Later on arround 11.00 am was the mud ball throwing activity into the river nearby the beach. Each student were given an approximately of 30 mud balls to be thrown in the river. Continued during noon with lunch and prayer break. The activity continued with an "explorace" program in groups that were divided in the first day. On 6.00 pm the students headed back to UTM.
Reflection of Activity
As a final year student, GEOINC 2020 was truly a great experiance. Throughout the program we learnt on how to made mud balls to clean up the rivers. Helping the environment and society at the same time on cleaning the beach at Desaru. Cleaning up the beach was a satisfaction to see and experience. Very fun activities and a good opportunity to bond with our juniors during the program. I truly recommend and encourage students to join again the future activities that will be held by the UTM geoinformatics club.
