Mini Report
The reason why I participate in this programme is to learn a new skill, which maybe critical to my career advancement. The major purpose of this session was to present the concept and framework of Flutter to School of Computing students, particularly Software Engineering students. The goal of this webinar session was to improve the participants' critical thinking skills and gain a new understanding of a modern sort of framework that is commonly utilised by developers which is named Flutter. Flutter is a Google-created open-source UI software development kit that allows developers to create cross-platform apps for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows, Google Fuchsia, and the web with a single codebase.
Mr. Ahmad Siraj bin Mohd Yusof, a Software Engineer and Full Stack Developer at Charge+, was the workshop's instructor. The seminar lasted 3 hours and 30 minutes. The trainer was given the first 2 hours and 30 minutes to conduct the workshop, and the remaining time was for the question and answer, Kahoot and lucky draw session. Mr. Siraj introduced and explained Flutter to the participants, including what it is and the benefits it offers. He also demonstrated how to use the Google library for Flutter.
Self Reflection
After involving in this workshop, I learnt a new programming skill which I never touched or known before. This skill can maybe broaden my career opportunities and assist me in to keep up with the fast-paced world. Meanwhile, my adaptability skill is being enhanced after participating in the programme. Adaptability is a soft skill that make me being able to rapidly learn new skills and behaviours in response to changing circumstances in the workplace.
Moreover, I gained a brand new knowledge and used my problem-solving skills to find creative solutions to the new challenging topic in the workshop. Yet, I was being able to observe and analyze how I might approach solving a new problem and my willingness to make adjustments or improvements to the way I approach solving problems.
To conclude, I think that it's critical to keep learning and developing new abilities no matter where you are in your career or at work in order to help our technical skills stay relevant and keep up with the ever-evolving job space.
