Experience in UTM

On 3.9.2018, that was the very first time I enter into UTM. That day, I went to register myself at my residential college,which is Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail (KTDI). There was a lot of students at that moment. After the session, I went to my room and started to unpack my luggage together with the cleaning session. Soon, I finally met my roommate who come from Segamat, Johor.

The person-in-charge of my residential college required us to gather at Dewan Sri Resak around 2pm. We had a ice-breaking session at that moment. From this session, I met some of my new friends who studied the same course as me, which is Data Engineering (SCSP). The person-in-charge of KTDI briefed us about some history of our college including the history of UTM. There were also a few of facilitators who guide us during the activities. They are nice and friendly! They taught us some cheers specialized to KTDI so that we can cheer loudly in order to give support to our college's members. After that, I officially entered the orientation week of UTM (Minggu Mesra Mahasiswa-MMM).

During the orientation week, I had not enough sleep because most of the activities started very early in the morning and ended till midnight. But, is true that I really learn a lot during the week. The organizer of the MMM program planned a lot of activities for us, including some educational talks which gave us some information regarding the organization of UTM, health issues in UTM, information about PTPTN education loan and many more. These information gave me a very clear mindset on what should I do during my learning process in the university.

On the last day of program MMM, all the first year students need to take part in the jogathon organized by the person-in-charge of MMM. The opening ceremony of this event was done by Prof. Dr. Durrishah binti Idrus. After the warming up session, I started my journey to run... The route of the run was about 5km. That day was a sunny day,it was really hot! During the journey, I felt very tired and sweaty...But still I managed to finish the run!

However, the activity that I liked the most was the last event of the program MMM, which was UTM'S Talent Night. There were many students perform their talents at that night. There were many performance at the day, including Chinese Orchestra, traditional dances, singing some popular songs, dancing and many more. I really enjoyed myself on that night. Although I felt tired during the week, but I really enjoyed! Hope that I can make myself comfortable in UTM as soon as possible! Hehe.... ^_^

Interests

I love to play guitar during the leisure time. This can reduce the stress that I faced effectively. Besides, I also like to read which can widen my knowledge in the field of IT. I also like to play badminton with my friends as this can enhance the spirit of teamwork in my daily life. I also like to take photograph during my free time as this can give me some creativity to solve the problems given.

Personal goals

To obtain a suitable position where experiences, skills and leadership all can be utilized to grow in an organization, gain more knowledge for the career development and also increase productivity of the organization. I also hope that I can manage to handle all the problems given by the clients which can widen my view to explore various types of conditions.

Academic goals

My academic goal is to solve different problems given by the clients which enable me to expose to various types of situation and also polish my skill in developing the program for example C++, Python, R language and others.

Career goals

My career goal is to work very hard and strive to excellent I can be in my career. To obtain a career position in a high quality company, working in a friendly and productive environment, I can use all my skills in order to give benefits to the company, me and all those around me.

My talents give me the capabilities to work on the smallest detail to the largest in a style and personality that is suitable for the clients.

Personal skills

My personal skills including fluent in the language of C++ and problem-solving. I can also complete a algorithm in order to solve the obstacles. I also have a good skill of communicating which help me to communicate with the client regarding the project that I have done clearly. I can also speak 3 main languages which are Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and English.

Academic skills

My academic skills including the fluent usage of C++ language which helps me to develop a program effectively. I can also write a good algorithm which enhance me to write a good program.

Work skills

I have leadership skills which can lead the team to work together in order solve the problems given by the client effectively. I have good communicating skills which allows me to give a clear explanation to the clients in order to make them more understand regarding the project that I developed.
