Reflection
I participated in this program because the objective of this program was mainly to enlighten students on what internship is like, and sharing of new technologies. The graduate attributes that I have developed through this event are communication skills, thinking skills, and leadership and teamworking skills.
In this program, a few seniors shared their experiences during internships. They explained about their internship company, the benefits, as well as the work culture. The seniors also answered any questions the students asked. Furthermore, the seniors shared about study tips and interview tips in order to get into their respective internship company. Next, the technology sharing session allowed students to learn about the future of technology such as those related to Industrial Revolution 5.0 (IR 5.0). Students had to work in group to come up with an idea related to IR 5.0. My group faced a small problem at the start of this group activity because we were all shy and did not propose any idea. However, our group leader took the initiative to ask every group member whether they have any idea. This made it easier for us to open up and give our opinion.
In this program, I gained plenty of new knowledge. For example, I learned about what type of internship companies there are, as well as the requirements and benefits of choosing each company to do my internship. The technology sharing session was also really fruitful as I managed to learn more about IR 5.0 as well as the potential of technology in the future.
