Reflection of Project2
Project 2 is a replacement for the final exam since students cannot attend physically the final examination. The scope of this project is the inferential statistics which required students to use secondary data from any websites or organizations to discuss about the data. First, I searched for the data that I would use in this case study from the links that my lecturer provided. It took a long time for me to find a suitable dataset that needs to contain various variables. The variables in the dataset are important because I will use them to carry out the inferential statistics. Fortunately, I found a complete dataset from the website of the Department of Statistics, Malaysia which contains some nominal and ratio data.
After the proposal had been approved by my lecturer, I started to study on how to do the calculations using the programming language for statistical, R Studio. Apart from reading the tutorial slides given by the lecturer, I would also search for some teaching video of using Studio when I faced some problems. R Studio helped me a lot with the tests that I needed to carry out in this project because it was very easy to use to get the data. However, the technique to produce a scatter plot is quite difficult for me because the label of x-axis and y-axis didn't show sometimes. This took me a long time to solve it.
After the tests were all done, I had to make a presentation video to explain all my findings throughout the case study. In conclusion, I gained a lot in terms of skills and knowledge since this project had helped me to develop and improve my analytical skills. Moreover, I also learned that time management is very important because there are lots of assignments and projects that need to be done at the same time. Lastly, I would like to thank my lecturer, Dr. Suhaila binti Mohamad Yusuf for being patient on checking my dataset.
