Journey of getting AWS badge
In the beginning, my lecturer has given an AWS Academy Cloud Foundation course and I was known nothing about AWS. Besides, I must complete the 10 module of AWS Academy Cloud Foundation course to get the badge. Therefore, I plan to complete the AWS two module in 1 day, so I need completed the AWS badge in one week. I start module 1 on 18 January 2022 and completed these 10 modules on 25 January 2022. I watch the video and slide are provided on the website to understand the contain of AWS in each module. The speaker in the video is explain very clear and easily understand. After, watching the video I also have do the knowledge checking and lab on the website. The quiz and lab are very beneficial for me because I can know that what I was learn in each module and practice utilizing AWS service. When the module becomes increasingly difficult as the level rises, I find it difficult to study, explore, and comprehend the AWS course. Although the module very hard but I do not give up. That is because I know that if I give up all my previous efforts were for nothing. Finally, I get the badge from the credly website.
Reflection On AWS
After I complete the AWS Academy Cloud Foundation course, I get a badge. Besides, I've learned a lot about AWS which includes Cloud Economics and AWS Global Infrastructure via this course.
Before I touched this course, I was very interested in this course because this course can let me learn a lot of skills and my friend also have tell me that this project will expose me to something news. Therefore, this pushed me to finish the course, and I also forced myself to complete all the AWS modules. After that, I have expected to have a thorough understanding of the concept of cloud computing, AWS core services, AWS security capability, AWS architecture, Cloud support and deployment of web application and database.
In my opinion, the module becomes increasingly challenging as the level climbs, but Module 5 and 6 is the most difficult since there is so much to grasp. As a result, I spent a significant amount of time learning these modules.
The course includes a wealth of relevant information on how to manage services on the AWS cloud computing platform. Without a doubt, this information will be extremely beneficial to all students enrolled in this program in terms of future competitiveness and employability. However, the badge of this course is worth it, and it’s not measured in terms of price.
AWS Academy Cloud Foundation course also helped me better understand the various AWS services and how to use them. For example, I learned about several types of services like as compute, storage, Amazon VPC, and database services, as well as how these services help organizations move faster, reduce IT costs, and scale.
In my opinion, every company should shift to learn Cloud Computing that is because the Cloud Computing have many advantages for employed and that can improve the productivity of employed and company can develop rapidly.
Moreover, I also think that every computer science/UTM student should learn Cloud Computing because the AWS course can give us learn more and improve our skills in career and this will be more benefit in future for students.
Therefore, I want to advice my friend who have not get the AWS badge must get the AWS badge. That is because after get the AWS badge u will grasp the knowledge of AWS cloud computing better.
After completing the badge, I intend to learn more about cloud computing and plan to improve my hard skills and soft skills such as communication skills and programming skills. That is because we no only need to improve the AWS knowledge, the hard skills and soft skills also important for me to competitive in the future workplace.
In my opinion, getting the AWS badge that is included in SECP1513 subject is a good way for students to learn the career skills.
