SYAHIR DANIAL BIN ZAHARI

On 10th June until 30th August 2019, every engineering students from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia are required to take industrial training coursework as it is a part of study requirement. Students have their freedom to choose any of the company that suits their course. As for me, i took Nippon Electric Glass Malaysia(NEGM) for my internship. About NEGM, it is one of the largest factory in Shah Alam, and the largest among NEG itself. NEGM produces 3 types of product which is glass fiber, consumer glass and micro capillary.  Here i was assigned in engineering department under glass fiber process. Being supervised by Chief Engineer of Engineering Department, En Fadil, he personally took care of me during my internship period and being a good role model of engineer leader.  For the past 12 weeks i had been here, there are countless experience i gained

For the internship duration that kills my 12 weeks holiday(jk!) I had been given a weekly schedule for the entire internship session. Since there are many group in my department, such as forming group, ap group and so on, every week i will experienced all of them. All of my schedule are given based on this job scopes:

1. Knowledge of machine checking visual, sound,temperature,vibration.

2. Checking,recording,analyze data and report solution for improvement.

3. Assist engineer to do minor fabrication job at workshop. To practice the theory of measurement, cutting, assembly, welding, fabrication, painting and installation.

4. Hand on a schedule maintenance job, motor bearing replacement, fan bearing replacement, greasing job, project installation, working together with NEGM engineers.

5. Task to analyze vibration, a relation between speed, load, temperature and lifespan.

And finally in week 12, i had my company internship presentation where i present about my technical experience and knowledge i gained during my internship.
