Mini Report:
The programme named "Himsak Level Up Seminar" was held on 26-27th October 2023 at Dewan Al-Ghazali, Masjid Sultan Ismail, UTM Johor Bahru. This programme was handled by HIMSAK UTM itself as an exposure to new Executive Committee (ExCo) Members who are in duty for this semester. Basically, there were 22 ExCo members involved during the day of programme.
There were two special sessions during the first day of programme, which were carried out by professionals in their field respectively. The first slot was given by Puan Nazira, entitled Format of Paperwok followed by Puan Fatihah for the second slot regarding Topic: Financial Management. For my first-time experience in joining the seminar for HIMSAK club, I do admit that this programme was great and such a good experience for me since I got a chance to know an extra information about the format of paperwork and financial management specifically during handle a programme.
Self-Reflection:
During the first day of seminar, I felt a bit awkward to adapt myself with all of the committee members but then I learned to cope well with them and enjoyed being one of the committee members as they are so supportive and nice to each other. I also gained a lot of benefits such as improvement in term of soft skills especially in communicating. I remembered that first-time-moment when I was in a slot of knowing each other before proceeding to our next slot of sharing session, we had to introduce ourselves with 3 fun facts and then worked together in a group assigned. As the one who more likely an introvert to new people, I became a little bit awkward to start communicate and act cool. However, I managed my nervous and eventually realized it was actually enjoyable to get to know new people! I learned how to deliver speech in a clear, effective and comprehensible manner.
Besides, since there was also a slot which required me to discuss in a team, I learned how to interact and work effectively with other team members to achieve our main objectives for the programmes that were planned. I was also able to be professionally and responsibly in carrying out duties throughout the discussion. Last but not least, I managed to act ethically in making decisions and interacting with people since there were various kind of situations and discussions that we have gone through along the day.
