Mini report:

On 28th December 2020, our lecturer, Dr. Saleha binti Shahar gave us a task on finding out about the geriatric physical disabilities of an elderly. Since we were all stuck at home during this PKP, one of our members, Soo Pei Sin got her aunty at her hometown to cooperate- and she got a recording of her grandmother (subject) trying to stand up from a sitting position on a chair.

We observed the disabilities of her movements from moving like a normal healthy person would. The subject explained that there is no pain occurrence at all during her movements, so we ruled out any joint inflammation cause. Besides, from our observation, her legs are relatively much smaller than her other body parts- meaning she has low muscle mass. Therefore, we looked for the muscle activity during the sit-to-stand motion to find out what muscles that are mostly involved- the exact low muscle mass that the subject is experiencing. After identifying the problems, we provided solutions that can be applied in the subject's situation in the aim for her to regain easy mobility.

All of our discussions resulted in these materials (infographic & video link) that we had done as a summarization.
