Mini Report
One of the reason why I join the leadership program as a chief facilitator was to hone my leadership skills and expand my understanding of effective leadership practices. I believed that participation in the program would provide me the tools and insights I needed to succeed as a leader. Throughout the program, everyone including the facilitators were encouraged to build communication, critical thinking, teamwork and ethical leadership skills. These attributes were emphasized through a combination of interactive workshops, immersive learning activities and hands-on application exercises. The activities included interactive talk given by the facilitators and also teachers of the school, as well as team building exercises.
Self Reflection
By participating in the leadership course as a chief facilitator, I was able to strengthen my communication skills and learn how to collaborate effectively with other people. The program has also improved my adaptability to exposing me to different challenges and motivates me to face it with resilience and positivity. I also was able to build strong relationships with my peers and create many fun memories with the participants. Additionally, my willingness to observe and learn has help maximize the learning opportunities provided by the program. Finally, one of the challenges that I encountered during the program was time management. It was quite hard for me to balance the program commitments with other responsibilities. In order to overcome the challenge, I created a task list on my phone to keep track of all the responsibility that I am in charge of. I also ask some support from other facilitators to help me stay focused and organized. Overall, it was a transformative experience and took me out of my comfort zone and challenged me physically and mentally in ways I did not expect.
