UHIS1022 - PHILOSOPHY AND CURRENT ISSUES

The course covers the relationship between philosophy and the National Education Philosophy and Rukunegara. The use of philosophy as a tool to purify the culture of thought in life through art and methods of thinking as well as human concepts. The main topics in philosophy namely epistemology, metaphysics and ethics are discussed in the context of current issues. Emphasis is given to philosophy as the basis for inter-cultural dialogue as well as fostering common values. At the end of this course, students will be able to see the disciplines of knowledge as a comprehensive body of knowledge and related to each other.

Reflection : When each team member strengthens each other's egos and pulls each other's feet from the energy of collaboration and cooperation, each team member will be separated from the power of cooperation and will only be able to stand alone without having great strength. With each member participating in research and discussion, all work has been completed and awaiting submission.

Course Reflection

UHIS1022 or known as Philosophy and Current Issues, is a course given by UTM for first semester students which aims to introduce what philosophy is and its parts and examples in everyday life. we discuss all phenomena that exist in human life and thought critically and skeptically by deepening the causes, then describe them theoretically and fundamentally. Like knowledge, the scope of philosophy can be determined which is divided into material and formal objects. In this subject, we will thoroughly examine and discuss any questions that exist

This lesson is guided by our firm lecturer, Prof. Dr. Badlihisham bin MD Nasir for section 76, and it is held every Thursday at 08.00 and finishes at 09.50. We started our first discussion in semester one. The atmosphere that radiates in the learning discussion is always conducive, starting with greetings and opening by the lecturer, after that make presentations for each group, discuss and exchange ideas that have become characteristic in this lesson.

From this study we can conclude, The use of philosophy in life can be divided into two types that are used in general and used in particular. Usability in general, namely the benefits that can be taken by people who study science in depth, these benefits can make it easier to solve problems critically. and Specific uses, namely, can be in the form of managing problems specifically or specifically in the dimensions of limited space and time.
