The journey of getting AWS badge.
I get the AWS badge after studying the 10 modules, try to do the lab exercises and did the knowledge checks for each module in the AWS Academy Cloud Foundation. In the beginning, I do not know anything about the AWS, and it was introduced by my lecturer Dr. Shahizan during our Technology and Information System class. Then, Dr. Shahizan brief about the AWS cloud computing and gave us the opportunity to learn and know well about that, I struggled while doing the first module of AWS because I do not know anything about it, then I keep watching the teaching videos in the Cloud Foundation and finally I could answer the knowledge check. One of the lucky thing is the AWS Cloud Foundation provides us unlimited attempts to watch the videos and do the knowledge checks so that I could complete all of the modules in time. I started to learn the module at the 19 October 2021 and I spent like 25 on screen hours to complete all of the modules. The AWS badge is quiet cool with aws academy (graduate) in the badge and I like it very much.
A summary of what you have gained from completing the course (get a badge).
After completing all of the modules in the AWS academy cloud foundation, I had an overall understanding of cloud computing concepts, independent of specific technical roles. I also get to understand the overview of cloud concepts, AWS core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support. This is an extra knowledge for me so that I could be outstanding comparing to others who do not learn it.
Your motivation to complete this project?
I got motivated to complete this AWS academy cloud foundation when I saw many of my friends had done more modules than me. Due to this, I would spend more time on watching the teaching videos and try to complete the knowledge checks. Besides, AWS is also a new knowledge for me, therefore, I am eager to learn more about it.
Your opinion on whether getting the badge is easy or difficult ? Which module is the easier/ most difficult?
In my opinion, I think that getting the AWS is quiet difficult but still possible to do it. For the people like me who do not have any basic knowledges about it, we need to spend more time understanding and learning the new things. But it is still possible to complete the module and get the AWS badge. Besides, I think that the module 7 in AWS academy cloud foundation is the most difficult module because it is about the storage of AWS, there are AWS EBS, AWS S3, AWS EFS and AWS Glacier, they all have similar name so that I am confuse when trying to understand their details.
What's badge worth?
The AWS badge worth as the basic for us to learn more about the AWS. We are able to prove to others that we had already complete the 10 modules and being outstanding among people who don't have it. The badge that we get is the most bottom in the pyramid, but only if after we got the graduate badge, then we are able to continue learning the master program of AWS such as AWS data analytics badge, AWS Certified Security and AWS Certified Databases.
Feedback whether getting the badge to improve your knowledge and skills on Cloud Computing.
In my opinion, I think that getting the badge improve my knowledge and skills on Cloud computing. As I am a person who are new in cloud computing, AWS academy cloud foundation introduce about cloud computing concepts, independent of specific technical roles. By taking the Technology & Information System course, I got the opportunity to learn about cloud computing and know more about the future computing world. By doing the knowledge checks and lab exercises, it helps to strengthen my knowledges about cloud computing.
Your opinion on whether every company should shift to Cloud Computing.
In my opinion, I think that every company should shift to Cloud Computing. This is because there is a lot of benefits by shifting the company to Cloud Computing. First of all, we can save a lot of cost, as we move our company online, we do not have to buy and maintain the facilities in our company, so that we are able to invest more in the other aspects of our business. Besides, we can get a better security system for our company, this is because any data backed up in the cloud is encrypted, only the people you want to see it will be able to see them. The cloud hosting providers will also constantly maintain and update their cloud security so that all of their customers 's data are secured. Last but not least, shifting the company to cloud computing let our business to consumes less power. This is because the cloud servers we use scale our needs, and we only uses the energy it absolutely needs to, the cloud computing can save energy.
Your opinion whether every computer science/ UTM student should learn Cloud Computing (get the AWS badge).
In my opinion, I think that every computer science and UTM student should learn Cloud Computing and get the AWS badge. This is because Cloud Computing is a new world 's trend and it brings a lot of benefits to the people. Having knowledges in Cloud computing will be a extra opportunity for us when we are applying for jobs. We might get a better job when we learn about the Cloud computing.
Any advice to your friend who have not to get the AWS badge yet?
My advice for my friends who have not to get the AWS badge yet is you should try to get the AWS badge, because AWS academy cloud foundation not only brief you about the cloud computing but also provides a detailed overview of cloud concepts, AWS core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support. I think that these knowledges is useful in the future and the journey taking the AWS badge is fun and full of challenges.
What is your direction after completing the badge?
After completing the AWS academy cloud foundation and get the badge, I think I will study and apply for the AWS Certified Big Data badge. This could be an extra knowledge for me in my data engineering journey.

Your opinion about getting the AWS badge that is included in the SECP1513 subject. In my opinion, getting the AWS badge that is included in the SECP1513 subject is good as it does not bring any disadvantages to us. Moreover, the AWS academy cloud foundation also teaches us something similar to the Technology & Information System, so that I think the AWS badge could be the extra knowledges for the student.
