EXCEL REPORT: Open Day Resak 19 (OPERA19)

OPERA'19 is a KTDI open day that organizes a variety of activities that will attract students of UTM. It has become a yearly event for the KTDI committee and residents. During the OPERA'19, I attend two activity which are participating in the Mobile Legend tournament and performing a live band on the last day of the event. My group of friends and I have experience in playing the game, and it is not our first tournament. With the resident quota offered to anyone who participates in the event, I and my friend decided to join the tournament. The tournament is based on the best of three and we did a very good job last until the semi final group. And as part of the musician of Aksara Resak, we were invited to perform a live band show and karaoke session at the very last program of the event.

In my opinion, this event offers a lot of graduate attribute to whoever joins the event. For example, by playing any games or sport we need to have a strong foundation of communication skills and team working skill. If the communication skill in the team is weak, we are unable to go as far as the semi-final stage. Next, having a good thinking skill helps an individual to make a better decision. This will make ourself to become less nervous especially during an important time. For example, helping which teammate in the critical time during the game. Other than that, by being invited to perform a live band shows helps me to adapt to the environment I am not comfortable with like standing in front of hundreds of people and playing an instrument. This helps me to overcome my fear of the audience.  On top of that, the invitation is the last minute and there is little time to practice. The performance is not perfect but overall the event is a success and we enjoy ourselves.
