Mini Report
The Annual Gathering event takes place as one of the main activities that is organized by PTUTM every year. As one of the committees under the program department, I was tasked to assist the program director and ensure the program was able to run smoothly. The primary objective of this activity is to introduce the freshman students, mainly Year 1 students about the identity of our club and the club's activities throughout the year. Encouraging them to explore other upcoming events. Around 200 students participated in our first offline activity at this event since the pandemic, which was successfully conducted on November 7, 2022. During the event, our team has prepared station games that involves teamwork to foster a sense of teamwork and give participants a good impression so they would continue joining activities conducted by our club. These station games had been successful in strengthening bonds among team members despite not knowing each other in the first place. The participants were able to lower their social barriers as a result.
Self Reflection
This event has allowed me to have a first glimpse of activities in university and what the club is able to produce. As a committee member of PTUTM involved in organizing the Annual Gathering event, I had the opportunity to play a role in ensuring its success. Looking back, I am glad with the work we accomplished and the impact we made on the freshman students and the club as a whole. Throughout the planning and execution process, I actively assisted the program director. I offered my support, provided valuable input, and even temporarily take over the director's role in some small decisions. By working closely with the program director, I gained a deeper understanding of event management and developed my organizational and communication skills. I enhanced my leadership skills, developed effective teamwork strategies, and improved my ability to adapt to unexpected situations.
