Design thinking is defined as a n analytic and creative process involving experimenting, creating and prototyping models, gathering feedbacks and redesigning (Razzouk, R. and Shute, V., 2012). It is a process of creative problem solving. The process in design thinking are empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test.

Prototype

Under the topic System Analysis and Design, our group had designed a prototype that run as a centralized workspace that covered all process in System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in just one platform.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the industrial visit had been replaced by the industrial talk. The first industrial talk was presented by Mr Redzuan from Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), entitled "Industrial 4.0: Past, Present, Future".

Industrial Revolution started from the introduction of mechanical power, growing to electricity and then computing. Now in IR4.0, we are focusing on automation of technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, big data and etc. These technologies are integrated to create what has been called as "smart factory".

The second industrial talk is about the importance and trending of IT project management. This talk is presented by Mr Mohd Khairul Reeza Ruslan of Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd (CDC).

Importance of project management:

• To avoid financial risk
• Ensure the system that is being delivered is in good quality within time
• To ensure that the cost, time, quality, benefits, risk and scope is manage properly
• To get the desired output

On 29th December 2020, we were proud to have the senior or alumni of School of Computing UTM to share their working experience with us. In this sharing session, the speakers also share some tips and advice to increase the chance of getting hired as a fresh graduates. The sharing session had indeed given us an idea about the workplace and the skills we need to equip.

Cloud computing is becoming more popular due to its convenience and flexibility. There are a lot of cloud computing service providers in the market. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud are among the most popular platform. Each of the cloud computing service providers have their pros and cons.
