Reflection on Project 1

Our group decided to do a survey on the effectiveness for the first year students transportation. This survey is based on the latest issue students are facing back in the college when there are students did a report on parking spaces around the college. This is because there are cars that to be assumed first year students' cars which in general, they are restricted to not bring transportation.

This survey collected data from 100 students as respondents so, it is solveable to use statistics to compile and made a conclusion for the survey. We categorised our data as primary data as it is newly collected from the students for the project.

Working on the project during this pandemic happening in Malaysia is a bit difficult where discussion is done through online medium which is WhatsApp. Compared to in UTM, we can easily discussed and agreed on some solution. But, my group members and I tried our best to adapt with the situation which also commiting on other subjects assignments. Successfully, we managed to get enough respondents with enough data to start working on the project. Learning to use R by ourselves is a bit complicated too.

In conclusion, working on this project gave me a new experience as solving it in statistics way. I got to diffrentiate more from the question we asked into level of measurement such as nominal scale, ordinal scale, interval scale an ratio scale. Other than gaining more knowledge in statistics, i also learned to be more commited on doing group project as we conducted it online.

Reflection on Project 2

As this is the final project for this subject, I would like to be able completing the project as well as understanding on using R and to do inferential statistics. Inferential statistics is used to draw inferences from the sample of a huge data set. Random samples of data are taken from a population, which are then used to describe and make inferences and predictions about the population. As in this project, I learned conducting t-test, F-test, correlation coefficient, regression analysis and also ANOVA. And also, I explored using Rstudio by learning through Google and Youtube.

In conclusion, probabilty and data analysis is effective for compiling and analysis data with big samples. And it helps me to understand statistics better with proper calculation with many types of tests to test the samples.
