Mini Report
The PSYCHIC Club organised the Mental Health Awareness Campaign: Your Mind Matters, which was attended by UTM students, particularly SHARP and SMART students. This three-day programme included five exciting activities, including Forum Kerohanian, Treasure Hunt, Psytalk, Movie Night, and Workshop Sharing. In addition, three competitions were held: Infographic Poster, TikTok Mental Health Challenge, and Vlog of Mental Health Wellbeing. This is executed to illustrate students' talents and discover their knowledge of mental health and wellbeing. As a result, this program teaches students how to recognise, prevent, and cope with mental health issues, thereby spreading positivity and ensuring their mental well-being. Students in this program can learn about mental health issues and how they can affect their daily lives. This is because the rise of COVID-19 has increased the number of mental health issues among students. As a result, this program can provide university students with early exposure to how to avoid and recognise it.
Self-Reflection
As grand treasurer for this program, I believe I have gained a broad range of skills, and abilities that I could not have obtained in any other circumstance. This is due to my first experience as a treasurer, which was difficult at first but was made possible by my team members. Being a treasurer makes me realise how crucial this role is in this program. This can be seen when it is critical to be organised and keep clear records to ensure the programme runs smoothly. As a result, it improves my financial management skills for both this program and myself. Furthermore, I encountered many challenges, such as how to how to get get the money transferred out from the sponsorship this program receives, the full report of money being managed, how to get sponsorship from a company, the stages of getting money from Hal Ehwal Pelajar (HEP), and many others. As a result, with the assistance of my team members, I was able to devote my full attention and effort to ensuring the success of this program. Overall, this is a great opportunity for me to try out for new roles in various programmes.
