Mini Report

There were two panels, Encik Lokman Hafiz Bin Asary and Cik Hazirah Binti Hashim and one moderator, Azizah Binti Arfian. I joined this forum in hope that I have a better understanding of mental health issues seeing as how there are many people suffering from it these days. Cik Hazirah, who is also a psychology officer in UTM’s Counseling Centre, explained in great detail on mental health, how to recognize them, how to overcome them and steps to be taken to help the ones suffering from it.

Self Reflection

Since one of the panel, Encik Lokman, is also a survivor from bipolar disorder, it helped me empathise with his situation. This highlights the graduate attributes I stated above which is adaptability. I believe that in one team, there has to be some sort of understanding towards one another’s situation, especially when one of your teammates is suffering from a mental health disorder. In order to do that, I need to be able to adapt to their situations while at the same time, make sure there are very minor to no hindrances in our work progress. This program has been extremely beneficial for me to further develop my graduate attributes.
