BLOCK MANAGEMENT
After an interview for the KB ( Ketua Blok ) positionon 22nd September 2018, i was chosen to be a KB for block S13, Kolej Tuanku Canselor. During 5th october 2018, JKMKTC conducts and emergency alerts programmes that required the participation of KB, PKB ( Penolong Ketua Blok ) and ERT ( Emergency Response Teams ) from every blocks. The programme were held at the Fire Station of Taman Univerity, Skudai. We were exposed by the fireman on how to take fast action if any emergencies cases happen at our blocks. During this session, i was learn on how to be more faster in taking action.
On 9 December 2018, JKMKTC was held an honourable night for all KBs' of Kolej Tuanku Canselor. The event was to gaves the KBs the offer letter on the KB's position.
ATEAM
Ateam is an advanture club under Jawatankuasa Kolej Mahasiswa ( JKM ) of Kolej Tuanku Canselor. On 15th September 2018, Ateam conduct a night walk called Ceria Moria. Ceria Moria was the very first activity that i joined with Ateam. We assembled at S01,Kolej Tuanku Canselor. After some warmed up, we start jogging around the university for about 10km. Even it was a bit tired, but i got the chances to get know the senior of ateam and other first year friends.
Next, Ateam conduct their very first hiking trip for this semester called Atrial 9.0 at Gunung Datuk, Negeri Sembilan on 27 September 2018 until 29 September 2018. During this program i got the exposure on how the Ateam actually is. We also creat the stronger bonding with the others first year students of ateam as this programme focuses on the first year students.
Next , during last mid semester break, i joined another hiking trip with Ateam. We spend almost 6 days hiking at Dabong, Kelantan. We hiked Gunung Stong, Gunung Baha and Gunung Ayam. it was the great experiences in my life from my own point of view. The challenges that we faced was more than the first hiking experiences that i got from the Atrial trip before. During this trip i learned how to survive on my own.
JURUTEK
After an interview held at Kolej Tuanku Canselor, I was chosen to be one of the Jurutek member session 2018/2019. Jurutek is a club under School of Electrical Engineering. The first programme that i join with Jurutek was an internal programmes called Team Building.This programme was held at School of Electrical Engineering on 15 October 2018.This programme mission is to create bonding between Jurutek 18/19 members.
During 2 November 2018, Jurutek held an annual grand meeting at P06 of School of Electrical Engineering. This annual grand meeting is to give some appreciation to the last session Jurutek member ( 17/18 ) that had contribute a lot in Jurutek.
Next, during 18 November 2018, Jurutek with JKMKTC and others club were combined to conduct a carnival called IoT ( Internet of Things ) Carnival. This carnival were held at School of Electrical Engineering. During this carnival, there were four industrial talk and some exhibition from the students. The carnival get the attention not only from the School of Electrical Engineering students, but also from others student from others faculty such as School of Computing. It was a great experience for me to get the chances to be one of the IoT student committee until this carnival succeed.
IVAT OF UTM VISIT
On last 11 November 2018 at 11:00 am until 12:30 pm, which is during Introduction to Electrical Engineering class, a visit was conducted at, Institute of High Voltage and High Current (IVAT), University Technology Malaysia. IVAT of School of Electrical Engineering was established in 1991. Initially, IVAT was an educational laboratory which provides facilities for carrying out experiment, research and consultancy services in high voltage engineering beginning in early 1970s.
During the visit, we watched a live demonstration on the flashover of a glass insulator. The function was to measure insulation process. Dr Zulkarnain, our lecturer also showed us other facilities prepared in the laboratory. Such as impulse 15kV kits tester. This kit function as ligtning waveform generator. Next, Partial Discharge Detectors which function to detect partial discharges. Dr also showed us AC/DC Divider which function to measure AC/DC voltage and in the meantime to reduce the voltage if its too high.
After this visit. I can conclude that this visit really give us some exposure on high voltage industries. The way how the demonstration of flashover on glass insulator actually answering the question that always in our mind. This visits also open our eyes how important should be number one when we handle the electricitry equipment. Last but not least. This visit had increase my interest towards electrical engineering and looking forward for another visit to this institute to gain more knowledge.
