Bengkel Aspirasi Kesenian Asas Tari (BAKAT 22/23) was being held from 4th to 5th November 2023 at L50, UTM. This programme aims to enhance the participant's knowledge regarding various traditional dances such as 'Tarian Melayu' (Joget, Zapin, Inang), Traditional Sabah and Sarawak dance, etc. Furthermore, another objective of this programme is to showcase student's talents which mainly highlights a student's ability to dance. Among the participants of this programme includes UTM Students and Citra Daksina Alumni.
Among the activities held during the event includes Dance Workshop for various types of dances and Dance showcase. As for both dance workshop and showcase, students were divided into 7 groups. Each group were handled by a facilitator to ease the activity processes. Each group received a task to showcase different types of traditional dance. To add on this information, the group that I was required to facilitate was tasked to perform 'Tarian Inang'.
Finally, I am pleased with the whole process of the programme as it successfully highlight the use of important skills such as communication, thinking and teamworking.
