PC assembly.

In this topic, we need to do a report on how to assemble a PC. Our lecturer has provides a few videos for us to watch and understand on how to assemble a PC. In this report it is divided to three parts which is part A where we need to list the tools that used for PC assembly. Part B is the part where we need to list all the components on the motherboard and other components that used for PC assembly and we also need to provide the sketch of motherboard. The last part is part c where we need to list the step for PC assembly with its precaution steps.  This topic taught me on how to assemble a PC and the report also is to show the understanding on how to do PC assembly.

These are the steps for computer assembly :

STEP 1 – PLACING THE PROCESSOR ON THE MOTHERBOARD
STEP 2 – PLACING THE HEAT SINK ON TOP OF THE PROCESSOR

STEP 3 – INSTALLING THE RAM

CAUTION: Pressing the boards in when the tab is not aligned could cause damage to the RAM boards as well as the motherboard.

  • Tip: Be careful and gentle when trying to align the RAM boards.

STEP 4 – INSTALLING THE POWER SUPPLY

STEP 5 – PLACING THE MOTHERBOARD INSIDE THE CASE

STEP 6 – INSTALLING THE GRAPHIC CARD

STEP 7 – INSTALLING THE CD ROM & HARD DRIVESTEP 8 – CONNECTING THE IDE CABLE & SATA CABLE

STEP 9 – CONNECTING ALL DRIVES TO THE POWER SUPPLY

STEP 10 – CONNECTING THE FRONT PANEL USB & AUDIO

STEP 11 – CLOSING THE CASE, CONNECTING THE PERIPHERAL DEVICES

STEP 12 – TESTING

Reflection

In this assignment, I learned the steps in computer assembly. other than that, I also get to know the components that involve in computer assembly such as motherboards, RAM, CPU and more.
