What is your goal/dream concerning your course/program?
The goal for my course is to be an expert programmer as well as able to develop my own mobile application, software and game. I am required to increase my coding skill especially in the language I am currently learning which is C++. Besides that, I must also learn and be able to grasp other computer languages as well. Next in this course, (Computer Science Graphic & Multimedia Software) I will be exposed to Virtual Reality and Human-Computer Interaction which is very fascinating and useful for working in this industry.

I am very thankful to have Dr.Naghmeh Niknejad as my lecturer in this subject. She has guided us very well in completing these assignments that were quite tough at times. I really appreciate her attention in spending so much time answering our repeated questions as we were very blurry. Dr.Naghmeh always responds to our text messages really quickly and I am deeply sorry for interrupting your time at home. Besides that, Dr.Nagmeh is really understanding as sometimes she extended our due date of submissions due to the packed schedules. I really appreciate this very much.
Journey of Getting AWS Badge
I started joining AWS Academy early of the semester the minute after my lecturer gave me a briefing toward this academy. There are ten modules in total which took me a total of 20 hours to complete. It was roughly around two months to complete watching the videos and answering the test at the end of each module. Hence,I managed to complete it early this year after so much time postponing it due to many assignments. There are lab exercises as well which gave me a technical approach other than the quiz for each of the modules. The passing mark is 80, there are times when I have to repeat because sometimes I didn’t understand at first and after going through again I managed to grasp the whole thing. After completing all the modules we are awarded the AWS Badge and a certificate of completion.
What is the action/improvement/plan necessary for you to improve your potential in the industry?
My action to improve my potential in the industry is to explore and learn things that relate to the 4IR. Firstly, I must improve my programming skills by watching videos and practicing coding in a situation that involves our daily life as well as learning from coursemates too. Moreover, I shall participate in more programs like industrial talks that enable me to widen my knowledge in technology especially The Internet of Things(IoT). Next, I must strengthen my communication skills as working in this industry requires me to be a team player and work together as a group. Therefore, connecting and understanding among groupmates plays a crucial role in developing an application that is assigned to do in groups.
Your opinion on whether this subject contributes to your knowledge on specific area?
I have gained useful knowledge and insight through Technology and Information System subject. This subject has exposed me to the 4IR works especially when we are emerging towards The Internet of Things. The Industrial talks from the amazing and experienced speakers gave us detailed exposers within their respective fields like Augmented Reality, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Amazon Web Services and so much more. These talks were really important and helpful as it really helps me guide my way to complete the task and assignments.
AWS Summary
I am able to understand the concept of cloud computing and how it works besides getting a certificate and a badge.What keeps me motivated is that the group project requires me to have more knowledge and be able to design the cloud architecture that is similar to AWS. I find getting the badge quite difficult because I have no experience and am really unfamiliar with this subject or anything like this before. I find module 1 (Cloud Concept Overview) one of the easiest and the hardest one is module 8( Database) . I think companies should shift to Cloud Computing as they can avoid data being redundant. Next, in the long run, it is far cheaper as it uses less manpower. Receiving this badge helps improve my resume other than obtaining more knowledge.I will persuade my friends to get the badge as it is really useful for future use. It is really beneficial for us to include the AWS badge in the SECP1513 subject since students will be able to learn about AWS and it is free of charge too unlike other online courses.
