Report Activity No. 1 - AIESEC x NGOs: Quality Education for The Nation’s Backbone

This AIESEC x NGOs is a webinar that involve with 2 NGO which is from Jeremiah Welfare Charity Society and Berkat Children's Home. The event is to encourage people to help the community in terms of education for the future. As the pandemic hit in Malaysia, it is hard for the NGOs including the financing stability. The process of the project start with AIESEC as the third party background, then volunteer are recruit to teach and interact with the children with the NGOs. 

As for the Jeremiah Welfare Charity Society is represented by the president itself which is Madam Lili Tan. The Jeremiah Welfare Charity Society, JB is establish in the year of 2000. The goals of the charity is to establish a healthy youth community and family by education. Madam Tan Lili explain the effect of broken family towards the development of a child in terms of emotional, educational and other numerous factor. They provided a home school concept education support, hostel for the youth and establish home school education for primary and secondary.

The next speaker Mr. Davidson Saindran Lawrence, president of Berkat Children's Home. The Berkat Children's Home is started in the year of 2000 same like The Jeremiah Welfare Charity Society. They help to ease the burden of the underprivileged children and trouble families. The mission of The Berkat Children's Home is to heal orphans and vulnerable children from stress and traumatic experiences like the daughters of the a father had to see their father doing suicide. Next is to ensure the well being and protection of orphans and vulnerable children. They goals for 2021 is to give the children a childhood and future by protecting them, teaching and healing them by building a strong communities and loving families.
