ExCEL-KEM PEMBENTUKAN JKM SESI 2020/2021

     I had participated in this program which is the first time I am joining an online camp during the pandemic Covid-19. I learned a lot through this event where my communication skills and leadership and teamworking skills improved a lot. This is because I was assigned to a group where the members are from different races and our group communicate in fully English and Malay. All of the task given have to be done in groups, we have meetings and discussions to gathers all members opinion and idea. In the group, we never blame on each other but we always encourage and help each other. This event really provides the participants a positive and motivative learning atmosphere.

     The challenges I faced throughout the event is not communication among the group members but the limitation of internet access in my area. This is because there is no Wi-Fi in my house where all of my family members used data of the phone. Therefore, I was so worried when I first know that the event duration is 10 days and we have to use Google Meet frequently. However, I manage to overcome these challenges by the helps of my family members and my group members. My group discussion is mainly using WhatsApp application and only some are using the Google Meet. This really helps me in saving and reducing the bandwidth and data. My family members also willing to share their data usage to me to having synchronous online meeting.
