Mini Report

Reflection

I had participated in this wonderful event where I have a chance to understand more about Japanese cultural and Japanese Society. The talk given by the four Japanese speakers are interesting and blown my mind. There is one of the speakers who cannot speak I English and her talk is fully in simple Japanese language with lost of gesture and movement. From the speaker I learned that language is not the barrier between people and people but it allows us to understand each other better. Besides, I learned to be more confident to stand in front of crowd to give a talk. This is because although the speaker cannot speak in English but she is still confident and willing to share her thoughts to the participant. Surprisingly me and my friends can understand most of the content she delivered to us.

During the activities, I have tried on the traditional folding handcraft in Japan which is Tsumami-Zaiku. It is hard for the first time in doing the craft but I manage to do a pretty one after the Japanese student taught us. Through these activities my communication skills have improved where I interact with the other participants and also the Japanese student. Overall, this is a good event that I can rarely meet during my lifetime studying in UTM especially in this pandemic period.
