SECI2143-02 - PROBABILITY & STATISTICAL DATA ANALYSIS

Project 2 main focused is on inferential statistical analysis. We are required to form a group of four to conduct this project. In Project 2, we can choose either to use samples of data provided by our lecturer or find any sample data that is valid to conduct this project. There are three main statistical analysis that need to be present in this project and choose at least one of the three choice provided in the instruction given. The three required components are hypothesis testing of 1-sample or 2-sample according to the set of data chosen, correlation and regression. The choices of other inferential statistics analysis are goodness of fit test, Chi-square test of independence and analysis of variance (ANOVA). Among the three choices provided we choose to do the Chi-square test of independence. 

We also had choose the sample of data set provided by our lecturer and the sample we used are on students performance. We used the sample given by our lecturer as most of our teammates agreed to use it instead of finding new sample set of data. There are four different inferential statistics analysis and because we had four members, each one of us is responsible for one inferential statistical analysis for both the report and video. I am responsible on handling the regression analysis for our group. All of us had used RStudio to do all the statistical analysis calculations as it is easier and more straight-forward. For video presentation, we recorded our parts on our own and then it was edited by one of my teammate to compile it together.

Overall, this project had given me so much experience on how to conduct inferential statistical analysis using digital tools such as RStudio. By conducting this project, I had more understanding in these particular topics as we are required to do some explanation in the report and video presentation.
