The impact of the activities on the development of the students graduates attribute was I was able to think and react as fast as possible in that short period of time to excel in that task, this shows that I gained creative and critical thinking. Moreover, I think based on the task they gave could stimulate innovative and creative thinking. This would help me to solve any kind of problem in a simple and effective way. The challenges were, I had a rough time understanding the electrical and mechanical department part that they explained to me. So I asked my friend besides to help me, from this my communication skills also got improved.
Last 27th and 28th September 2019 I participated in the Robocon workshop which was conducted by Robocon UTM. In that activity I by the way that was one of the first few activities that I joined since I entered UTM as a fresher. The graduate attribute that I focus on from this activity was deep discipline knowledge and intellectual breadth which gave me comprehensive knowledge and understanding of their subject area, the ability to engage with different traditions of thought, and the ability to apply their knowledge in practice including in multi-disciplinary or multi-professional contexts. Even though I’m from a computer science department why I participate in this workshop was to get exposure and gain as much knowledge as possible no matter what before I leave this university as a graduate. The content of the activity was full and full of mechanical, electrical and computer science department knowledge. They introduced me to what Robocon actually is and how they grow and what are their achievements. Then they gave some interactive activities to give the idea of what their club all about. Moreover, they had some activities to recruit new members into their team.
