Justification in joining the activities:
The KTDI Earth Day event aimed to raise awareness and promote sustainability among students and staff. The activities provided an opportunity for the college community to come together and actively participate in initiatives that contribute to a greener and more environmentally conscious campus. By joining the activities, individuals could learn about various environmental issues, gain practical knowledge about sustainable practices, and take meaningful actions towards preserving our planet. Additionally, participation in the Earth Day event fostered a sense of community engagement and encouraged individuals to make positive changes in their daily lives. -
The Graduate Attributes that are focused on:
The Earth Day event was designed to align with several key graduate attributes, emphasizing the holistic development of students. Some of the attributes that were focused on during the event include:a) Environmental Awareness and Responsibility: The activities aimed to enhance participants' understanding of environmental challenges and their responsibility towards sustainable practices. By engaging in discussions and workshops, attendees developed a deeper awareness of environmental issues and learned how their actions can contribute to positive change.
b) Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: The activities encouraged participants to think critically about environmental problems and explore innovative solutions. Through interactive sessions and brainstorming activities, individuals were challenged to analyze complex issues, identify potential solutions, and think creatively to address sustainability challenges.
- Content of the activities:
The Earth Day event featured a diverse range of activities and initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness. Some of the activities included:a) Guest Speakers and Workshops: Renowned environmental experts and sustainability advocates were invited to deliver keynote speeches, conduct workshops, and share their knowledge and experiences. These sessions covered topics such as climate change, renewable energy, waste management, and sustainable agriculture.
B) Earth day challenge: The challenge is to encourage student to reduce the usage of electricity during night. Student need to turn off all the light after 11p.m and take a photo as their evidence.

1) Impact of the activities on the development of the students' Graduate Attributes:
The Earth Day activities positively impacted students' Graduate Attributes, including environmental awareness and responsibility, critical thinking and problem-solving, collaboration and communication, and leadership and initiative. The activities increased students' knowledge, developed their problem-solving skills, improved collaboration and communication abilities, and empowered them to take leadership roles in addressing environmental issues.
2) Self-strength/advantage towards the activities:
Individuals with a passion for sustainability, knowledge/expertise in environmental areas, strong communication and leadership skills, and creativity/innovation have advantages in participating in the activities. These strengths enable them to contribute effectively, share insights, collaborate, and provide fresh perspectives.
3) Challenges and how to overcome:
Challenges in participating in the activities include lack of awareness, time constraints, limited resources, resistance to change, and ensuring ongoing engagement. To overcome these challenges, organizers can provide pre-event resources to educate participants, schedule activities to accommodate academic commitments, seek partnerships/sponsorships for resources, emphasize the benefits of sustainability, and establish student-led initiatives for continued engagement.
Position in the event
I am am the vice director for this event. I need to take care some of unit under me. I am also in charge in making the gantt chart for all the crew of the event
