I join the online webinar programme as a participant.

ICheme POPSIG University Roadshow 2020 is a program organized by Institution of Chemical Engineers (ICheme) Malaysia. This event is conducted through a webinar for 24 universities in Malaysia offering chemical engineering degree courses. There will be a two hours highly interactive session with reliable speakers from IChemE, the Malaysia Palm Oil Council (MPOC), the palm oil industry as well as academia. Besides, through this program, students will gain and increase their knowledge regarding palm oil industry. They explain to us how chemical engineer work in palm oil industry and how they experience working in palm oil industry. Furthermore, it is useful for Chemical Engineering graduates who want to work in the oil and gas business as their primary employment. IChemE POPSIG University Roadshow 2020 seeks to enable students receive answers to their queries from experts and professionals in this field, in addition to promoting respect for the palm oil industry in Malaysia.

For self-reflection on this program, this program was very good as it could exposed us to current situation about palm oil industry in Malaysia. Regarding to this program, I gain many information about palm oil industry such as how the engineers working in the industry especially chemical engineer. Besides, this program also teach me how to adapt with the job situation in this palm oil industry because they told us that what we learn are much different with the situation there. I also can enhance my leadership and team working skill as they said that working in industry, we will work in group and there are no such thing that working by own. Next, thinking skill also was built during the webinar talk as we as an engineer need to critical thinking because in the industry there are a lot of competitor. If we can provide a creative and innovative in the industry, we will one step forward than others.
