Reflection

My reflection is that I need to find my soft skill and improve it so that I can increase my chance to get scouted by a company

Introduction

In this sharing session, we were required to listen and understand the pre work and work life for computer science students. for example how to get a company to accept you.

The moderator of the talk was Dr Johanna Ahmad which, senior lecturer for School of Computing at UTM. The speakers were Tan Yong Keong who has been working as a data science engineer for one and a half year at
Micron Semiconductor Asia Operations, Mohamad Zamarul Akmal bin Mohd Hussin, a data
engineer at PPG Coatings and Batrisyia binti Azman Shah who has been working as a social
media data analyst for a year at TM One.

What we learned

After participating, me and my group reviewed the sharing session. We learned that participating in many events during college life is an important part to up your chances that a company will scout for you. Other than that, actively giving new ideas to a company during internship also increase the chances that the company will give you a promising job at their company.

But the most important thing that will surely get you a slot at a company is your soft skill. Nowadays company are searching for people with great soft skills that no one can compare. Due to that, me and my group conclude that having a soft skill is the most important thing for a college student.
