Amazon Web Services (AWS)

AWS Badge

HOW I COMPLETED AWS BADGE

To be honest, it was quite confusing when I first started the course, particularly trying to understand the material of Module 5 till the last module. I feel it was due to my lack of information about AWS. It took me a month to complete all ten courses since I only completed three modules in a week and finishing one module normally took me one day. I always jot down the important points when watching the videos since it helps me in answering the knowledge check questions at the end of the module.

REFLECTIONS FOR AWS

a) After finishing the course, which consists of ten courses, I was able to identify the various types of cloud computing, discuss the benefits of cloud computing, and evaluate the AWS cloud adoption framework and its applications. Not only that, but I also learned the critical elements of AWS, such as reliability, cost efficiency, and security.

b) My motivation in completing this course was my interest in learning about cloud computing. I consider this course as an opportunity and the ideal platform for me to obtain as much important knowledge about cloud computing as possible. It's also free, and I doubt I'll be able to get all of this information for free anywhere else on the internet. I also feel that in the future, the need for people with cloud computing skills will skyrocket, since the world is changing and we can see now cloud computing is slowly becoming a part of humanity. As a result, I should start preparing myself by taking courses like Amazon web services.

c) In my opinion, Obtaining the badge is challenging since I must finish all ten modules in this course. Each module has a lot of videos, and sometimes I have to rewatch them just to understand what they're about. It took me a long time to finally obtain the badge. For me,  Module 1 is the easiest module for me in this course. Because I've only learned the fundamentals of cloud computing and got a bit into the specifics of AWS management. I really loved the first module, but I started to feel more pressured and confused with each new module.

d) I believe the badge is valuable since it proves that I have passed the AWS course, which is not easy. I also feel that this badge will assist me in the future; for example, I can include it on my CV and employers will know that I am knowledgeable in AWS cloud computing, and I can also convince them with this badge.

e) Obtaining the AWS badge has significantly boosted my knowledge and skills in cloud computing. For example, after completing the course, I am able to describe the AWS well-architected framework as well as identify how AWS trusted advisor assists clients. I also learnt how to create my own Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) after completing the lab in module 5 of this course.

f) In my opinion, companies should shift to cloud computing since it offers numerous advantages. First and foremost,  it provides storage capacity flexibility. Business storage can be expanded or reduced easily with cloud computing. The second significant benefit of using cloud computing for businesses is cost savings. This is due to the fact that you will not need to invest in physical storage to keep all of your company's data because it will be saved on the cloud.

g) In my opinion, every UTM student should learn cloud computing since it will increase their chances of having a job in the future. This is because many businesses are transitioning to cloud computing, and it is possible that all businesses will embrace cloud computing in the future. As a result, there will be a strong need for cloud computing-related employment roles such as cloud data analysis and cloud cybersecurity. Hence, every student should equip themselves with cloud computing skills by enrolling in an online cloud computing course, such as earning an AWS badge.

h) My advice is to seize this opportunity to obtain the AWS badge. I understand that there are many modules to complete, but you may take your time. It may appear to be unimportant for the time being, but I am confident that it will benefit us in the future. The process of obtaining it is a little challenging, but you will see the value after you have completed it.

i) Despite having completed the badge, I believe I still lack knowledge of cloud computing. Therefore, I want to continue exploring cloud computing by enrolling in online classes or watching tutorials on YouTube. I plan to work on projects that will allow me to apply all of my knowledge.

j) in my opinion, the AWS badge is the ideal approach in introducing cloud computing to students with no prior understanding, such as myself. It's not easy at first, but as I progress through the course, I'm learning more. I believe that the AWS badge should be kept in this course so that students may learn more specifics about modern technologies that they may never consider in learning before. I am confident that it will benefit students in the future.
