combined poster-min.png

These are the posters we made
From the industrial talk, I learned and realized that 4th IR is really vital for the improvement of human's life, future of work and business. We should appreciate the current technology as it help us making our country becoming a modern country through the advancement of technology. Therefore, people must prep up their skills and knowledge on applying technology into daily life from now in order to be qualified into technologically advanced workplaces.

The next Industry talk was Industrial Talk #2 from Ms Sarah, a representative of CyberSecurity Malaysia, an agency under KKMM. I learnt that industry 4.0 is an infusion of automation to the manufacturing sectors which enhances efficiency. This talk motivated me to gain more awareness towards the importance of IR 4.0 and how we need to approach the transformation to its technologies just like how the development of AI can shift us from manual labor to automation. As an example, IR4.0 has created many new automation industries such as transportation and surgeries being done by robots. Therefore, we should appreciate the advancement of technology and grab the opportunities to improve out lifestyle.

Overall, I gained a lot of information and knowledge from both this industry talk. I am excited for the next talk, in order to gain new beneficial knowledge about technology,

This is the newsletter that we did.

From the industrial talk 3, I learned that cloud computing such as AWS enables us to think and use our infrastructure as software delivered to us, rather than traditional hardware infrastructure. AWS also gives us the customization to handle service efficiently. As an example, AWS has significantly reduced the user and developer's workload by using the service provided by Amazon. AWS is flexible, has a secure cloud platform, requires no space and provision. I am also motivated and excited to enroll in AWS Academy Cloud Foundation after watching the industrial talk. I am convinced that AWS Academy Cloud Foundation will help students a lot, to gain a better and deeper understanding of how AWS works. In conclusion, cloud computing service provider like AWS is the utility and future of our life that will increase efficiency, especially for company and developers.

For the industrial talk 4, I learnt that AR is one of the most popular technical trends right now, and as AR-capable smartphones and other devices become more widely available, it will only grow in popularity. It is a
technologically augmented depiction of the real physical world that is made possible by the use of digital visual components, music, or other sensory stimulation. It can also, for example, assist medical students in
practising a surgical operation with low risk. AR can also assist people in determining the size of our furniture so that it will fit
exactly in our home. In a nutshell, our country must be ready to adapt to technological developments in order to benefit the public.

magazine cover-min.PNG

From the industrial talk 5, I learned that remote working is the trend of working mode nowadays and people started to look for network security because of the hackers who penetrate the network or IoT devices. I also learned that the smart campus will also be the look in the future in which students will experience smart cities and smart homes at the same time on the campus. Next, I learned that when IoT solutions become automated and able to self-optimizing, it will be much easier for network professionals to solve the troubleshooting or even the systems are able to troubleshoot on their own. I am motivated to support the development of smart campus, smart city and smart home in order to bring our country to become more modern and efficient.
Next, for industrial talk 6 about network technologies, I learned that the fifth generation of wireless technology systems is known as 5G. It has quicker speeds than any prior generation. For example, consumers can download movies within seconds compared to4G. This is because of Low latency allows data streams to be sent more quickly. I am motivated to learn more about 5G, and fully supports the implementation of 5G in our daily life. A life with lightning quick internet speed would be really efficient.

PROJECT 1 & 2 - Low Fidelity Prototype

Discussion 16-Dec-21-min.pngProject 2 Low Fidelity Prototype flow_Page_01.jpgaws architecture.PNG

I have learnt a lot from this project especially about cloud computing, low fidelity mockups and the process of creating a business. I learnt how AWS Architecture works, and I am able to identify which AWS services will be beneficial for our project. Next, I learnt how to use Figma, a popular website for fidelity prototype creation. This project also taught me a lot about entrepreneurship. I also have improved my teamworking, creativity and critical thinking skills in order to create this project successfully.

There are several motivations for me to complete this project. Firstly, the project contributes about 21% of my carry mark for the subject. I am motivated to get the best mark for this project, to get a good overall result from this subject. My next motivation is from my teammates. They helped me a lot throughout this project and since we share the same mark for this project, I don’t want to disappoint them. Thus, I am motivated and want to do my best for this project, so all of us get the best mark possible for this project. Lastly, my motivation to complete this project comes from myself. I knew in order to be a good developer, website designing and cloud computing is a vital component, thus I want to gain the most out of this project.

There are several issues that we stumbled upon when doing this project. The first issue is when we want to do our discussion. Since everything is online, discussing the project can be a hassle. This is because our free time are not the same, different timeline and different learning schedule. Therefore, our solution for this problem is some of the discussion meetings were rescheduled for everyone to attend it. The next issue is our project is quite complicated. There are so many modules and submodules that we need to implement, in order for this project to be a success. Our solution is we put a ton of effort in order to successfully finish this project. At one point, we discussed about the project until midnight (around 12.00 am). Overall, we did all of our discussions and we are able to finish everything successfully before the deadline.

My direction after this project is I will focus more for my next semester and final examinations. Since I already has some basic knowledge about fidelity prototyping and cloud computing, I will apply this knowledge for future projects. I also want to learn more about cloud computing and system development in the future. There are some parts in this project that I don’t fully understand and I will work hard to become better in system development, cloud computing and project completion.

I think I will need to improve my teamworking skills by to improve my potential in the industry. Especially for industry related to creating a system, website and application, teamworking skills is really important. Next, I will also involve more in project creation, self-learning and getting online certificate to improve my potential in the industry. By doing so, I am able to branch my potential career more, maybe in the future I can become a cloud computing architect or a DevOps developer or a software application specialist and many more career paths.
