Self Reflection

Participating in Open Day Resak 2021 (OPERA 2021) was a valuable experience that allowed me to gain deeper insight into the facilities and resources available at Kolej Tun Dr Ismail, which I hadn’t fully appreciated before. By attending, I was able to familiarize myself with the various amenities provided for students, which greatly enhanced my understanding of the support system available to us at UTM. Even though I was just a listener, I learned a lot from the speakers who shared information about the college's initiatives, and this broadened my perspective on the student experience here. It was reassuring to see the dedication UTM has to creating a supportive and engaging environment, which motivates me to make the most of my time here.

Additionally, OPERA 2021 served as a reminder of the importance of community and interaction within the university setting. Seeing students from different backgrounds and disciplines come together, even virtually, was inspiring. It emphasized the role of teamwork, mutual respect, and open communication in building a positive campus atmosphere. Observing how the hosts and speakers conducted themselves gave me insights into effective communication and interaction, skills that I know will be valuable as I progress through my studies and later on in my career. Overall, this experience left me with a greater sense of belonging and a desire to actively participate in similar events in the future.
