Internship (WEEK 7)

• Site walk and survey at Sulfur Refinery Unit 1;
• Get to know the instrument equipment need to be install and location of the equipment.
• Comparing the location of equipment in the drawing with the actual location of the equipment at SRU1.
• List of equipment:

            - Gas detector
            - Toxic gas detector
            - Manual call point
            - Speaker
            - Junction box
            - Fire alarm beacon
            - Telephone 
            - Hydrogen sulfide detector (H2S0)

• Learn to sketch mock up support from SRU1 to SRU3 for cable tray.
• Each cable tray need different type of support based on the size of cable tray and its position.
• 2 type of supports were use which are angle bar 50mm x 50mm and c-channel.
• Every support was designed to provide maximum holding strength to cable tray.
• The point to weld between the support and beam structure also important to avoid bending and fracture from occur.
• Before any fabrication works for support start, we need to make a list of all the support at each point
• This list provide us information on the quantity and size of supports at each points to make fabrication works run efficiently.
• From the list, we can estimate time required for the job to be done.
