Reflection of this course
The purpose of this course is to introduce several statistical techniques used as data analysis tools. The students will first be exposed to a variety of data kinds. The data that the different types of variables reflect is obtained from a number of sources, including daily life and business activity. The analysis comes before the data's visual display. The course will also discuss a few methods for parameter estimation from different distributions. To do more data analysis, the hypothesis testing is employed. A few models are applied to fit data sets. By the completion of the course, the students should be able to analyse data using the available tools utilising some statistical models.
PROJECT 2 PRESENTATION
Reflection Project 1
Understanding and using the concept of data description are the objectives of Project 1. A survey must be given out in order to gather primary data for this study. Primary data is information that the researcher, in this case, us, has obtained directly from the source, i.e., the pupils. We distributed a Google Form survey to first-year UTM students as part of our study, which is titled How Proficient First-Year Students are with Technology in Learning. After collecting the data, we categorize the information's nature and analyze each variable and piece of information separately. Additionally, this task taught me a lot about statistics and data analysis. I learned how to use various software applications and tools to help my team collect and describe data. After completing this survey, I discovered how to formulate inquiries that would maintain respondents' attention. Additionally, I learned how to set up and style Google Forms so they seem neat and professional. The most significant benefit is that since I must perform math and create images, I can better understand data analysis.
PROJECT 1 REPORT
Reflection Project 2
Understanding and applying the concept of inferential statistics are the objectives of Project 2. We used secondary data with a sample size of 1000 participants for this investigation. Using the "Go to College" dataset, we carried out a number of data analysis for this study and looked at the correlations between various parameters. This project aims to impart knowledge of R Studio and the R programming language to the student. R is a very powerful language for statistical applications. Moreover, this job taught me the value of working as a team. Because, as they say, "teamwork makes the dream work," we were able to cooperate to effectively divide the work. We worked together as well to make sure the project was successful. Fortunately, everyone made a significant contribution, allowing us to successfully accomplish the assignment.
