Executive summary
The report is based on the e-Rezeki talk that took place on 24th September 2018 in Seminar Hall, N28a, UTM, Skudai, Johor. The presenter for the industrial talk was Mrs Nur Ashikin Halil. The speaker stated that e-Rezeki is a platform for Malaysians which can help them to work/job online. Through the e-Rezeki, a person gets the extra income. Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) recruit the people around Malaysia to join in e-Rezeki using various campaigns with the name of #YOUCANDUIT. The campaigns are arranged at many places such as fair, talks and TV shows. This program is for Malaysian nationals who benefit the population among the bottom 40% of the income level and this is also referred to as the B40.
After starting the e-Rezeki, the people will be more confident and their life will be enhanced. After I attended the talk, in my view, the new graduates in the future will have no difficulty to find the job rather than they will be supported by the e-Rezki program. It will enhance the employment rate of the fresh graduates in Malaysia. Moreover, more and more people will go for the e-Rezeki because it is an easy way to get the job and the working time will be upon that person. Other than that, there will be no need to follow the company’s rules and will be able to work at home anytime they want.
Introduction
Nowadays, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) are reconstructing the world of work from regular occupations to digital jobs. For example, the government agency like Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has begun e-Rezeki program to Malaysians. The e-Rezeki program has two major components. The first major component is the e-Rezeki online platforms facilitates Malaysians register as digital workers and complete digital assignments to make the additional pay. While the second significant component is the e-Rezeki centre provides the facilities such as computers to the members. The government wants Malaysians to get the job online and make money from the web. Therefore, Malaysians can engage in these programs by attending the nearby e-Rezeki centre to do the registration process. If they are not able to approach to e-Rezeki centre, they can approach to e-Rezeki agents. Malaysians are free of charge to register for e-Rezeki. After participating in the e-Rezeki, participants will be given training sessions and learn the basic digital skills. Once they are trained and qualified, they will become digital workers. They will get additional money after they complete the online task successfully. These programs will help them to become full-time freelancer. Freelancing is a job where a person can work for any type of service in which you are interested or skilful such as a transcript, translation, android developer...
Being a freelancer, they can decide their own flexible working hours. Besides, they can also choose the work in which they are interested in. Therefore, the e-Rezeki is a good chance for Malaysians to participate and earn additional income simply by performing several tasks online.

Here are some success stories from e-Rezki :
E-rezeki is an entrepreneurship program that introduced by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) to increase low-income families through digital income opportunities. E-rezeki provides more job opportunities and reliable source of income for Malaysians with a household income of below RM4000 monthly, also known as Bottom-40(B40) income group. It is flexible for Malaysians to do the digital job at anyplace and anytime.
MDEC had promoted the e-Rezeki through developing #YouCanDuit multichannel campaign to get people to join the e-Rezeki. This campaign was conducted through fairs, road shows, talks and TV stations such as Astro, TV3 and RTM in creating the awareness of #YouCanDuit programmes. The B40 income group such as the retirees, jobless citizens, senior citizens, students and housewives and blue-collared workers can join this e-Rezeki program. However, e-Rezeki is only open to Malaysians who are 18 years old and above.
The impact of the program to Malaysia is a lively digital economy is developed after launching e-Rezeki since 2015. E-Rezeki is also making the Malaysians be more self-supporting and find their own way to earn additional income. This program really helps to reduce the huge difficulties of Malaysians such as paying the bills or saving to buy the clothes. These simple things can make a difference and improve the quality of life of Malaysians.
My reflection from this industrial talk is the government agency which is Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) under Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has presented Malaysians the online jobs to enable them to persist in this age of the huge cost of living. Therefore, it guarantees the fresh graduates to get the online work after they have tried to find the job from the market for a few months or years. Since most of the fresh graduates cannot get a job in their field after graduating. It is because they have to compete among themselves for the short amount of jobs available on the market. Besides, this platform is giving the fresh graduates to sell the talent and skills in their areas of interest such as android development, transcript, design and translation. Therefore, it improves the work rate of the fresh graduates in Malaysia.
Besides, majority workers might not work for the company but will search the job through e-Rezeki in the future. It is because they can work at a flexible time and hours. They even can work at the house. They also not need to follow the company’s rules and ordinances such as attire and punctuality. Moreover, they can choose to work for an international or local company. In conclusion, e-Rezeki dominates the job market in the future.
