1. Mini Report

The event was taken place at Dewan Sultan Iskandar, UTM Johor Bahru as well it is mark the first event that bring a union to the whole student top leaderes. Townhall also act as a platform for student to share their opinions, suggestion regarding on some matters on what happening around the university. For this year, it is marked as the replacing form of Student Representative Council System, and its aimed to remove the confusion and bring the power back to the students more. It also mark that the student who the one who take account on student’s money rather than university.

2. Self Reflection

At the end of this event, I am able to understand more about the Students’ Union system implementation that would replace the current system which is Student Representative Council as students’ representative to enhance student opinion and suggestion or complaint. For me, Townhall Mega Students’ Union is a good event and townhall itself is already a good event and should be held frequently. This event allows students like me to get better understanding regarding few latest matters and also be able to give suggestion and complaint regarding some matters. I personally would attend more townhall later not just for the merit given to student itself but also because the content of the event is good for me as a student. This event gives me hopes as a student to believe that student can have their own opinion and the opinion can be heard to the higher-ups in the university level. I hope more students will attend this event later when they organize such event.
