[11/06/2018] MONDAY
The first day of starting my internship in ORCA CREATION SDN BHD.
I was given a briefing on my duties and responsibilities, as a trainee in the company, by my supervisor, Encik Selamat bin Ismail.
I was also given a training plan prepared by Encik Selamat for my internship.
The plan consists of training on product development process, material and design on plastic, metal and tooling, CAD training using Pro-Engineering software, supporting on-going projects, and developing my own project.
After the briefing has finished, I was introduced to the company, and the workers there.
Then, Encik Selamat gave an explanation about the projects that the company is working on. One of it is creating a baby bottle cleaning machine. For today's mission, i was tasked to assist the engineers in solving a leakage problem in the prototype of the machine.
After determining the cause of the leakage, i helped Syah, an engineer there, to develop ways to overcome the problem.
Then, we ran some tests to confirm that the leakage problem has been fixed.
At the end of the day, the mission has been achieved.
Before ending the day, i helped Syah to prepare milk in a few baby bottles, and then left them to accumulate 'dirt' for 12 hours.
The milk consists of 3 types while the bottles consists of 2 types
[12/06/2018] TUESDAY
After the milk bottles have been left for 12 hours, I threw the milk out and left the bottles and their equipment to dry for a while. Then, i took pictures of the bottles along with the dirt accumulated. This is done so we can compare between the before wash and after wash states of the bottle , and also determine the quality of the wash.
Before starting the process of washing, we ran a test on the machine to see if everything is working perfectly. However, there were a few problems that we have found. Hence, I assisted Syah to overcome it.
Then, i helped Syah to set up the baby bottles and their equipment to carry out the washing test of the machine. These were done in batches, with different settings, and different conditions. (temperature, detergent, etc)
