Introduction:

In this project, I took one of Premier League’s data results as an object of my statistic test. Premier League is a football league in England that was founded on 20 February 1992 following the decision of clubs in the Football League First Division to break away from the Football League, founded in 1888. I chose the table of Premier League in 2018/2019 which has 20 clubs, from the champion (the first place in the league) until the last place.

I chose premier league data because I want to learn more about The English Football League and also I want to know how to predict the table using statistical tests, such as hypothesis testing, chi-squared testing, correlation testing, and regression testing.

Reflection:

In this project 2 of PSDA, I learned so many things, especially how to calculate data with R Studio and I also learned what is the benefit of statistical analysis tests with real data. I chose Premier League 2018/2019 data for this project and the test, I chose 4 different tests such as hypothesis one-sample test, chi-square test, correlation, and regression test. All of them have a different purpose, hypothesis testing is to know whether there is sufficient evidence or not to conclude the average of the variables of the data, chi-square testing is to know whether the two attributes of the variables are independent or dependent. Correlation testing is to know what is the relation among all the variables of the data whether it’s a negative or positive relationship or maybe there is no relation among the variables of the data. And the last is regression testing is to know what is the cause of something. I am grateful to learn all of that knowledge because it gave me a new experience of using statistics with real data that I haven't learn before. I am really grateful that my doctor in PSDA class, Dr. Aryati, teach me so many things about statistics, not only the formula and theories but also how to use the statistic in a real application such as this project 2, thank you so much doc for all your help in this semester.
