In my capacity as the Deputy Director of Technical Affairs for the program, I play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of FKM Open Day 2023. My responsibilities encompass overseeing all technical aspects, including the setup and coordination of essential components such as canopies, speakers, and the PA system. With meticulous attention to detail, I manage the logistical intricacies to guarantee a smooth and efficient event. Additionally, my role extends to prioritizing safety measures by formulating and implementing emergency procedures, ensuring the well-being of all participants. In the event of an emergency, I take charge, swiftly executing safety protocols and coordinating with the designated canopy personnel, who operate externally. My leadership involves guiding the team under my purview to fulfill their designated responsibilities effectively, creating an environment where technical elements seamlessly align with the overall success of FKM Open Day 2023.

Participating in FKM Open Day marked a pivotal juncture in my personal and professional development, providing a nuanced understanding of how diverse activities contribute to the enhancement of graduate attributes. As a contributor to the event's logistics, my role demanded leadership, effective communication, and adaptability, directly aligning with the targeted graduate attributes. The multifaceted nature of the event allowed me to hone my leadership skills as I navigated through challenges, overseeing various aspects ranging from the Mechatronic Prototype Showcase to the Dominos Challenge and lab exploration.
The hands-on experience in handling program logistics offered a profound insight into my leadership capabilities, affirming my ability to guide teams effectively and make informed decisions under the pressures of event management. The condensed timeframe presented a challenge, prompting me to adopt a methodical approach. Following a Gantt chart meticulously not only facilitated efficient task allocation but also showcased the importance of strategic planning and adaptability in orchestrating a successful event.
Moreover, the collaborative nature of FKM Open Day allowed me to leverage my strengths in effective communication, fostering connections within the faculty and student body. This experience has instilled in me a heightened awareness of the intricate dynamics involved in coordinating complex initiatives within an academic setting. Overall, the reflective process underscores the significant personal growth achieved, emphasizing the invaluable lessons learned and skills acquired in the pursuit of orchestrating impactful events.

Participating in FKM Open Day was a strategic decision motivated by the aspiration to establish meaningful connections within the faculty and gain hands-on experience in event management. The prospect of networking with faculty members, students, and administrative personnel was a compelling justification, presenting an opportunity to foster collaboration and strengthen ties within the academic community. Additionally, the chance to contribute to organizing a program under the faculty's banner not only offered insights into the intricacies of event planning but also enhanced my understanding of the collaborative efforts required for the successful execution of such initiatives for the event. The activities featured in FKM Open Day, ranging from the Mechatronic Prototype Showcase to the Dominos Challenge, booths by several of the Mechanical UTM Clubs, variety of food trucks, Al Ikhsan sales, drone showcases, and lab exploration, collectively emphasized the development of key graduate attributes such as leadership skills, effective communication, and adaptability.
