The very first thing that I did was organized a meeting with Prof. Ir. Dr. Sevia Mahdaliza Idrus to discuss about my Final Year Project Topic. We discussed about the goals, objectives, and scope of the project. Besides that, me and Prof Ir. Dr. Sevia talked about what kind of platform that I should use as reference for my FYP topic. For this week, I presented some problems to Pro Ir. Dr. Sevia so that I can make my FYP topic as a solution to solve those problems. The solution that I proposed is to monitor an electromechanical valve with a reaction time, particularly the opening response time (ORT) of the electromechanical valve, which has a substantial influence on the control system's performance. It is critical to do study on the valve's responsiveness in effort to reduce coil failures or leakage current. The technology that I want to apply on this monitoring system is by clamping a current sensor on the wire that is connected to the EV (Electromechanical Valve).
