Reflection
Reflections on group Project 2 for SECI 2143-06
1.0 Acknowledgement
Firstly, I would like to thank my beloved lecturer, Dr Izyan Izzati binti Kamsani for giving me an opportunity with my team members to do this project. We have learnt a lot of things through this project. After that, I want to give the most credit to my team members who have been always helping me to get through this project with me. Also, big thanks to them for always prioritizing this project so that we can make sure we won’t make any mistakes.
2.0 Project Reflection
We started this project as a group by choosing the dataset. A good dataset consists of all the data that is needed for tests. This is to make sure that we can get a value for standard deviation and variance for the test and we can arrange the data in the table to make it easier to manage. After collecting the data and arranging it in a table, we divided the task among the team members. The hypothesis testing was assigned to me. Based on the dataset of mean happiness of 5 European countries and early knowledge of a study where Europe is the happiest region in the world, I wanted to conduct a study to determine whether mean equal to 7.8 is the most ideal mean of happiness to determine the country as a "Happy Country" since the 7.8 is one of the highest mean in the dataset. The test calculation has been done using Rstudio and the script has been transposed into the Project Report. For the project report, we choose Google Docs platform because it is easier to access and we can write our report simultaneously. The following steps are presenting our project. We have come to an agreement where we will record our parts individually and submit it to me via Google Drive folder. After that I will compile it into one video using Adobe Premiere Pro. Throughout this project, we have done a few meetings using Discord to discuss any problems related to Rstudio coding and report writing.
3.0 Conclusions
From this project, I have learned basic mathematical and statistical programming knowledge using Rstudio which helps me compute faster and more accurate mathematical calculations and also some correlations and regression tests. It was such a great experience knowing that I can apply what I have learned in the class to solve problems to such an extent.
