Expected Outcome

-The sheet resistance of the G-Paper was 167 ohm/sq

-The sheet resistance of the G/PANI-Paper was 66.2, 46.9, 40.8 and 32.3  66.2 ohm/sq after 20, 40, 60, and 120 minute of PANI deposition.

-The area capacitance of the supercapacitor 355.6mF cm-2 at current density of 0.5mA cm-2

How the device/technology can be applied in the project provides that result?

Experimental :

  1. A common 8B pencil was used to draw on the acid-treated paper for two times, forming a uniform graphite layer.
  2. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/sulfuric acid (H2SO4) electrolyte was prepared by adding PVA power (6 g) into H2SO4 aqueous solution (6 g H2SO4 into 60 ml deionized water).
  3. The whole mixture was heated to 85 C under vigorous stirring until the solution became clear, then the solution was kept at 85 C without stirring for about 1 h.
  4. After cooling down, two graphite/polyaniline paper (G/PANI-Paper) electrodes were immersed into the PVA/H2SO4 electrolyte for 5 min and then were assembled into a supercapacitor by sandwiching a cellulose membrane as a separator between them.
