Week 1
- Determine my research interest for Final Year Project by identifying which area I would like to focus on.
- Study all areas offered so that I make the right choice based on my interests and understanding.
- Through research, my goals for this FYP is to have the opportunity to use and implement methods, tools, and techniques that I already learned to a real world scenario and expand my understanding in tackling any difficulties related to Microelectronic Engineering.
- Finally, I was able to complete and submit the FYP 1-0 form after had some advice from my academic advisor.
Week 2
- Attend the research methodology workshop organized by the FKE.
- Check the website for the list of supervisors and assigned areas.
- Study on the topic suggestions given by supervisor and decide which topic that suits my interests.
- Make a research by searching for articles or journals for the topic I want to select.
Week 3
- First meeting with my supervisor and student that under Dr. Mastura Shafinaz binti Zainal Abidin.
- Dr Mastura Shafinaz briefing more the detail about the FYP and what we will do in the whole semester.
- My supervisor gives suggestion about the project proposal and all the information about the FYP project
- Continue to find suitable title and find resources.
- Start to find any project or research on the internet based on the topic chosen
- Study on the methodology of on the research to ensure fewer obstacles during the development of the project.
Week 4
- Decided to choose topic that proposed by Dr Mastura Shafinaz.
- The title for my FYP project is Fabrication/characterization of cellulosed-based for energy storage application.
- Set goals and objectives of the project what I want to accomplish by doing the research work.
- Set scope of my work to provide a common understanding of the project
- Find and Download references related to my project for further understanding.
- Submit first draft of Final Year Project Topic Proposal Form to the faculty.
Week 5
- Second meeting with my supervisor and student that under Dr. Mastura Shafinaz
- Discuss about the title and overview of the project.Dr Mastura Shafinaz had given some advice and tips about the project.
1.Research question for this project
- What are the suitable parameters of device structure (size, dimension, material) make it suitable to be used in energy storage application?
- Which type of cellulose structure is the most suitable for the targeted application?
- How the fabricated cellulose-based paper could be optimized for best performance energy storage application?
2.Hypothesis for above research questions
- Basically, the cellulose paper will be used as the main material to be transformed into energy storage devices.
- The structure to be explored in this study, correlating the studies on electrode materials and processes of fabricated the cellulosed-based paper.
- The physical properties of the device structure fabricated will be characterized and analyzed.
3.Objective for this project
- To Fabricated cellulose paper-based for energy storage application
- To characterize the structural, surface morphology and electrical properties of the fabricated films.
- To find the suitable parameter of device structure (size,dimension, material) for energy storage application.
- To test the performance in terms of characterization of cellulose-based device for energy storage application.
