MINI REPORT :

This event occurred before I was changing course from faculty of electrical to computing. Initially, I hesitated to go to this event as I was exhausted after a long period of classes. Eventually, I went to this event since my classmates compel me to accompany them. The event was about Huawei promoting their new 5G smartphone simultaneously speaking about opportunities for UTM students to join their company. There were discussions among the honorable guest and students was given a microphone to ask questions. During this discussion, one of the speakers told us that they love to be challenged. His words triggered me. I took this opportunity to challenge this company. Overall, I did 3 challenges: "Ask World Health Organization to declare their product as a healthy product.", "Train a poor student (students with poor grades) with good working skills", "Its easy to rule the world, try to rule people's heart". In the end, all students who asked questions were given a t-shirt. After the event, a Kahoot quiz was expected to be done. However, due to an internet problem, the quiz was postponed to another time.

SELF REFLECTION :

This event questioned my view of technology. It increased my fear of where humans will be dependent on technology. It is fine to have the technology for our daily routines. However, a question arises in my mind whereby what happens when all the work is done by technology. What work will humans do at the end of every work is done by technology or device. Allowing technology to rule might be disastrous. I feel that there should be a limit to the innovation done in our country. It's not healthy for the coming generations to be obsessed with a lot of technology. Hard work is essential for a human's development. Allowing gadgets or technology to do all the jobs might affect human behaviour and life. There are high chances for technology to make humans lazy. Being an IT student, I think many necessary things need to be done to face the real world as the innovation toward technology is getting very competitive. This might also affect the workforce style for an IT student in the future.
