DESIGN THINKING PROJECT
WeCare - PROTOTYPE
As we know, most parents faced a problem which is lost their children . This encourage us to solve this problem by develop an application, WeCare to help parent track their children’s location. This application is a solution for parent to avoid kidnapping or lost their children. The application connected from the phone to the GPS tracker which is placed in children watch. Firstly, the user must create an account, then they must connect them to the GPS tracker. The GPS tracking system use the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) network. Its network use microwave signal to transmit data which is the location from the GPS tracker to the phone. The signal also can detect the speed and time of the tracker. This application can be download from several platform such as Google Play Store and Apple App Store

INDUSTRIAL VISIT - NALI
New Academia Learning Innovation (NALI) is a program organized by the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), at Dewan Sultan Iskandar (DSI), UTM. On 27th September 2018, we are group 7, a group of 5 members Ali, Mahfuzur, Maad, Hazman and Syafiq arrived at DSI to join the event. It is a program which is focusing on some new techniques in order to archive entrepreneurial academia. These new techniques will be use to substitute old way of teaching which is face to face learning. One of the techniques used is blended learning. The concept is the teacher will use digital teaching materials in class. This technique is good because it can grab student’s attention to be more focus so they can get better learning experience. There are some objectives of NALI that we can get. One of it is to follow the best teaching and learning process from other Top University around the world. There are many booths there, the booth that we had visit is Pedagogical Benefits of YouTube in Improving Hair Styling Performance (no. 17), Entertainment Games for Kids (no.14) and an Evaluation on Student’s Perspective toward Kelab Suka Belajar.(no 43)

INDUSTRY TALK - GLOW
Global Online Workforce (GLOW) is new iniative program that be held by Malaysia Digital Economic Cooperation (MDEC) to help Malaysian to have a consistence income through digital site.On 24 September 2018 a talk had been given to University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) student at School Of Computing by Cik Nur Asyikin Halil.A little bit about our speaker,she was born in Skudai ,Johor and spent her childhood live in Kangkar Pulai.
She pursue her study in Office Management Uitm Melaka.Now she is work with Glow as Master Trainer and has a quite high payment which is 500$ USD a week.The main objective of the talk is to expose to student that student can generate income while studying so that they don’t need to worry about financial problem.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
From this Industrial visit and talk,I learned that ICT has a great impact to our lifes.For example, we can find a side income through GLOW program under MDEC. Another example is we still can get connected with our family, relatives, or colleagues even if we are abroad by using the electronic mail, yahoo messenger, call conference, or video conference.
The use of ICT in education add value in teaching and learning, by enhancing the effectiveness of learning, or by adding a new way for teaching that was not previously available. ICT may also be a significant motivational factor in students' learning, and can support students' engagement with collaborative learning.For example,Miss Hemarani teaches her disability student using youtube .We got to learn that disability students can also learn like normal students if they are gibing the proper attention and enviroment for their studies and Youtube has give a lot benefit for student and teacher in order to achieve this goal.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT - CICT
An industrial talk and visit about Centre for Information and Communication Technology (CICT) has been held on 1st October 2018 after lunch time, approximately on 2:30 p.m. at block D07, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). We (Ali, Hazman, Maad, Mahfuzur and Syafiq) as member of group 7 has arrived there at 2:15 p.m. The purpose of CICT is to help this university to archive the goals of UTM to become one of the leading universities in the world. In order to archive that, one of the initiatives by CICT is providing internet access for all students and staffs in UTM. Its help a lot in improving the way of learning and teaching here. As example, e-learning is really helpful because we can look and download the slide notes that the lecturer used to teach in the class. By using the same website, we still can use the e-learning to submit our assignment online, no more traditional way which is go to the lecturer’s room to submit our assignment.
