My Reflections

Semester 1 marks the beginning of my journey through this program and also serves to be the introduction for what I will be learning in the upcoming semesters in my opinion. From the main courses to the elective courses, I have found that each one of them has improved my skills or increased my knowledge in one way or another. After finishing all my classes for semester, I have realized that there were many things that I have improved on either actively or passively. From the main courses, I have gained a steady foundation of knowledge that I can use to understand the future courses that I will be taking. Elective courses have also provided me with improvements on teamworking skills, hard skills, soft skills as well as leadership skills. Not only that, it has taught us to develop empathy for other group members during projects as some members might have problems that has caused them to delay their work. Overall, this semester has impacted me a lot and I look forward to seeing the future semesters.
I have recently finished my studies for semester 1 regarding SECP1513-01 Technology & Information Systems, taught Puan Azurah binti A Samah. The overall experience in this course was diverse, in that Dr Azurah has provided the class with many tasks, ranging from Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) all the way to group assignments. Learning the topics covered in this course were very challenging as it talks about new concepts, but I was very intrigued nonetheless. My group members were very committed during all the assignments and each one of the group members always brought something new to add to our assignments. While we are on the topic of group assignments, the assignments given to us by Dr Azurah were very helpful as it has made me a better observer when it comes to research papers as well as it have improved my teamworking skills too. I would like to thank Puan Azurah binti A Samah for guiding me through this course.
My plan to improve the odds of me being favored in the industry is to improve my hard skills and soft skills as well as focusing on understanding the topics that I have learned from my courses. Working in a group will also improve my odds as it can provide useful leadership skills that will prove useful after I graduate.
My goal in regards to the program that I am attending is to successfully develop a good knowledge in the technological field gained from the main courses as well developing a skills that can be implemented in my daily life from the elective courses.
