Mini Report
From April 11th to April 15th, 2023, the Faculty of Computing's Persatuan Mahasiswa Sains Komputer (PERSAKA) successfully organized CompFair'23, a five-day event held at N28A, Faculty of Computing. The primary objective of the program was to motivate and expose students to potential job opportunities.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, the program had been unable to take place in-person and outdoors for the past two years. However, this time, participants were able to engage in hands-on activities and experience the interactive aspects of a physical event. PERSAKA was thrilled to have the opportunity to plan CompFair'23 and dedicated significant effort to achieving its goals.
Throughout the event, various seminars, guest speakers, webinars, and workshops were conducted. On the first day, students participated in a Resume Workshop where they learned to create professional resumes that highlight their skills. The workshop was led by Dr. Suhaila Binti Mohamad Yusuf.
Following the program's official commencement, a segment was organized for the participating companies in the Career Fair, which was organized by the CompFair'23 committee. During this segment, the companies had the opportunity to provide briefings about their organizations. The participating companies included Icore Technology Sdn. Bhd., Bintara Solutions Sdn. Bhd., Billion Prima Sdn. Bhd., Macross Consultancy, and Public Mutual Berhad. The Career Fair took place over two days at Laman Interaksi, N28A.
Reflections
Some of the advantages of joining these activities that I have learned are:

Motivation and exposure: The primary purpose of CompFair'23 was to motivate students and provide them with exposure to potential job scopes. By attending the event, I can gain insights into various career opportunities in the field of computer science and computing. This exposure can help me make informed decisions about their future career paths.

Hands-on and engaging experience: After two years of virtual events, CompFair'23 offered a face-to-face outdoor program, allowing participants to engage in hands-on activities and experience the interactive aspects of physical events. This aspect provides a unique learning experience that cannot be fully replicated in virtual settings.

Resume building and professional skills: The Resume Workshop conducted during CompFair'23 focused on creating professional resumes that showcase students' skills and qualifications. By participating in such workshops, I, as a student can enhance their resume writing abilities and learn how to effectively present their expertise to potential employers.

Networking opportunities: The Career Fair component of CompFair'23 provided me with a chance to interact with representatives from various companies in the industry. This networking opportunity enables me to establish connections, gather information about job prospects, and potentially secure internships for my future employment.

Overall, joining the activities mentioned above has provided me with motivation, exposure, skills development, networking opportunities, industry insights, and potential job prospects, all of which contribute to my personal and professional growth.
