Mini Report
1. Justification in joining the activities
- FIGURA is one of the largest annual events held Kolej Tun Razak. The purpose of this event is to motivate students to interact with each other. Not to forget, it also aim to expand the network and friends between students' around university thus honing the skills required for students to survive with outside world. Arcade Arena is one of the activities held during this event and it was held for 3 days.
2. The Graduate Attributes that are focused on
- Arcade Arena event was designed to align with several key graduate attributes, emphasizing the holistic development of students. Some of the attributes that were focused on during the event include:
a) Give the chances to students to experience the digital games that is hot on the market using advance technology such as PS5, Nintendo Switch and Virtual Reality. It will help to motivate students' to keep studying hard for their future to purchase items that they desired.
b) Expand students' network. The activities aimed to expand students' network of friend around the university. For instance, some of the games required two or four players in order to play the game. Thus, it will require the students to invite their friends or other students' to play the game and it will expand the network and add more friends to the students.
3. Content of the activities
Arcade Arena event featured a diverse range of activities and consoles aimed at promoting the event.
a) PlayStation 5(PS5) booth - The games offered are FIFA'22, Demon Slayer, Street Fighter 5, Gran Turismo 7.
b) Virtual Reality(VR) booth - The games offered are Beat Saber, Walk by the Plank, Freddie
c) Nintendo Switch booth - Mario Kart 8, Taiko no Tatsujin, Pokken Tournament DX, Ring Fit Adventure, Nintendo Switch Sports, Just Dance 2022

Position in the event
Position: Person in charge of handling the PS5 booth
Roles:
Make sure that the person that wanted to play the game have a clear instruction of how to use the console.
Prepare the equipment needed and setup the games.
Making sure that the person that wanted to play the game gave the tokens first.
Self-Reflection
Participating in the Arcade Arena program has provided me with invaluable benefits and personal growth opportunities. One of the key skills I developed throughout the program was effective communication with individuals of different age groups. As the person in charge, it was essential for me to adapt my communication style to accommodate the varying levels of understanding among the participants.
Interacting with individuals of different ages, ranging from young children to older adults, presented unique challenges and required me to tailor my instructions accordingly. Younger participants often needed simpler and more concise explanations, while older participants required more detailed guidance. This experience taught me the importance of clear and concise communication, as it directly impacted the participants' enjoyment and understanding of the games.
Furthermore, the program provided me with the opportunity to enhance my problem-solving and adaptability skills. Throughout the event, unexpected technical glitches or issues would arise, requiring quick thinking and creative problem-solving to ensure a smooth gaming experience for the participants. This allowed me to develop the ability to think on my feet and find alternative solutions when faced with unforeseen challenges.
Moreover, being involved in the Arcade Arena program offered me the chance to witness the positive impact of gaming on stress reduction and overall well-being. It was heartening to see participants, especially students, utilizing this opportunity to unwind and alleviate the pressures of their academic life. Witnessing their enjoyment and seeing them bond over shared gaming experiences reinforced the importance of recreational activities in promoting mental and emotional well-being.
Overall, my involvement in the Arcade Arena program not only allowed me to develop important communication, problem-solving, and adaptability skills, but also deepened my understanding of the gaming community and its positive effects on individuals. I am grateful for the learning opportunities and rewarding experiences that this program provided, and I am excited to apply these newfound skills and knowledge in future endeavors.
