My journey getting the badge

During my AWS course, I learned a lot about the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), specifically about cloud computing. I knew nothing about AWS, Cloud Computing, or how it works in today's world before starting the course. But after completing the course, I got to understand the importance of Cloud Computing and how it works in today's world. My AWS experience began on November 7, 2021, and ended on January 2, 2022. I finished the course and received my certificate and badge in almost two months. I received the AWS badge after completing 10 modules of this course, including Cloud Computing, Amazon Web Services(AWS), how to utilize AWS and more. Each module will have an example of a certification exam and a knowledge check, both of which contain ten questions about the topic that will test my understanding about the module. The learning process is quite exciting because there are so many activities to participate, such as lab sessions where we try to put what we've learned in the module into practice and help me understand the module better.

In my journey completing the course, I gained many new information regarding AWS mainly in Cloud Computing since the course is related to the assignment assigned to me which is about Low Fidelity Prototype where we have to make a project based on cloud computing. Cloud computing is one of the trend in 4IR while AWS is a cloud computing service provider which provide their customer with remote server where they can save their data and save their space on servers. The pricing of AWS is very affordable and reasonable with 'pay as you use' system which means that the user only have to pay the services that they use only.
It is quite hard for me get the badge since I am new to computer science especially in Cloud Computing. The hardest module for me in AWS Academy is Module 7 which is about storage. This module is hard for me because there are many storage services that have different use cases such as Amazon EBS, Amazon S3, Amazon EFS and Amazon Glacier. Meanwhile, the easiest module for me is Module 3 which is about AWS Global Infrastructure. This module exposed us on how AWS works, their infrastructure and their type of services. After completing all 10 modules, I gained my AWS badge which give me an advantage over the other interviewees because those who have the badge are in employers radar. It also indicate to the employees that you are prepared for the future.
In my opinion, my knowledge in Cloud Computing has definitely increased in a short amount of time after enrolled in this course since the module in this course is very detailed and the speaker explain it in easy to understand language. Not to forget, my skills in Cloud Computing also improved because the course provide the students with a lab session to help us understand it more clearly.
Every company should shift to Cloud Computing since it is one of the trends in 4IR and it also will save the company's budget on hiring IT experts to handle the servers. Not to forget, every computer science students should enroll themselves in this course and get the AWS badge since it is not only one of the trend in 4IR but also will give an advantages over those who did not learn Cloud Computing. My advice to those who have not get their AWS badge yet is to quickly signup and finish the course to gain the badge as it widen your knowledge in Cloud Computing and also opens up many opportunities in job employment. In my opinion, getting the AWS badge in SECP1513 subject is one of the way to make the learning experience more interesting. As this subject did not have a final exam, AWS badge can act as bonus mark for student to get A in this subject.
